By looking at the American Revolution from the street-level, through the eyes of the real people who lived it,  we can see the events as they  truly happened; this story of real people and uncertain outcomes. What was this person’s experience and how was it shaped by their beliefs, their occupation, their age, the color of their skin?

From the Card:

  • As part of one of Boston’s prominent families, you are raised in comfort.
  • Following in the footsteps of your father, a local judge, you become a lawyer and begin to take an interest in politics.
  • You are a moderate politician but disapprove of the way the British government treats the colonies.
  • You travel to England seeking to prevent violence between Britain and the colonies. When this fails, you return to help fight the war.
  • You become a leader in Massachusetts during and after the war and hold several important public offices.
