By looking at the American Revolution from the street-level, through the eyes of the real people who lived it,  we can see the events as they  truly happened; this story of real people and uncertain outcomes. What was this person’s experience and how was it shaped by their beliefs, their occupation, their age, the color of their skin?

From the Card:

  • As well as being a bare-knuckle fighter you also enjoy creating scrimshaw (decorating whale bone)..
  • You are involved in a series of fights between ropemakers and soldiers in the days leading up to the Boston Massacre.
  • You are shot in the head at the Massacre, leaving a hole the size of a man’s fist.
  • Your elaborate funeral is used as Patriot propaganda.
  • Shortly after your death, the Samuel Gray Society is formed. It becomes a politically active society for working men, which still exists today.
